Not all thermal binoculars are created equal. That’s evident from Nocpix’s new QUEST thermal binocs.
Here’s what they offer, as well as what’s new in the series.
QUEST Thermal Binocular Specifications
It’s time for an upgrade from thermal monoculars. Nocpix’s new-for-2025 QUEST thermal binoculars allow the use of both eyes for viewing and rangefinding.
Built tough, QUEST thermal imaging binoculars are made of a durable polymer housing with a rubber overmold and a textured soft-touch grip, ensuring easy and comfortable use in all weather conditions. They’re also IP67 rated for ingress protection against moisture and dust, meaning they can hang tough in fog, precipitation and other adverse conditions. A temperature operating range between -4℉ and 122℉ all but seals that deal.
The heart of the QUEST thermal imaging device is a 640x512 12μm thermal sensor that captures crisp, stunning details for positive target ID. Nocpx’s Reality+ image processing algorithm delivers sharp, clear images to the 1920x1200 AMOLED displays in each eyepiece. Each eyepiece also has a separate display and a dedicated diopter and position adjustment controls.
With an impressive detection range of up to 2850 yards for the H50R and 1970 yards for the H35R, both versions of these thermal binoculars are sensitive enough to pick up targets more than a mile off - perfect companions for a night hunt, and particularly effective at scouting for wary predators who will be quick to dodge you at the first hint of your sound or scent.
The Nocpix QUEST features a super-fast frame rate of 60 Hz, ensuring a smooth, clean image with no lag, whether your target is on the move or you are. It also offers an extremely sensitive sensor NETD rating, at 15 mK (or better) for exceptional temperature differential detection even in hot, wet, muggy conditions.
Nocpix QUEST thermal binoculars are also equipped with an integrated, 1000-yard laser rangefinder that can be single-fired or run in a continuous mode, enabling easy and pinpoint-precise rangefinding capabilities.
Powered by two batteries, an internal USB-C rechargeable battery and an auxiliary 18650-style rechargeable battery, QUEST night vision binoculars allow for a hot swap of the power source for all night power.
The Nocpix QUEST is available in two versions: the model H50R or H35R, with either a 50mm or 35mm germanium objective lens, respectively. The H35R boasts a 3x magnification and the H50R a 4x magnification, with both capable of 8x digital zoom. Both models come with a high-quality binocular harness and are equipped with multiple color palettes, including color, white, black and red hot, as well as crimson, viridian and violet.
Invaluable to night hunters, these thermal binoculars are also compact and lightweight, at 6.91”x5.43”x2.6” and just 24.69 ounces. You can buy with confidence from Nocpix as well as these binocs are covered by a generous 5-year warranty.

Why Thermal Optics Are a Must-Have Piece of Night-Hunting Gear
Whether you opt for these, a thermal monocular or a thermal scope, thermal optics are a must-have for any nocturnal hunter whether the quarry is hogs, predators, or something else.
Thermal monoculars are not just irreplaceable for helping you profile game and make a positive target identification on the basis of a heat signature, even in complete darkness, they can help you remain hidden and, in the case of these thermal binoculars, estimate range so you can take an accurate shot.
In the case of a rifle-mounted thermal scope, functionality is expanded beyond target acquisition and range estimation, and many are capable of video recording, playback, and most critically, actually taking a shot and making a harvest.
Don’t plan a night hunt for any target species without a thermal optic of some sort and some fully charged batteries. You won’t want to be without them.
