Despite the name, a Lucky Duck e-caller is built for predators, not ducks. Lucky Duck makes electronic game callers for coyotes and other predators, and we carry four of them: the Super Revolt, the Revolt, the Riot and the Roughneck.
The Revolt and Super Revolt are the callers to look at if you want motion at the speaker. Both include a rotating decoy and a motorized pivot, so you can aim the caller from the remote and point the sound down a different draw or tree line without leaving your stand. Turning the sound is a good way to work a coyote that hangs up out of range. Both use a backlit remote, which is easy to read in the dark without a light that gives away your spot.
The Lucky Duck Roughneck also comes with the backlit remote and is a straightforward choice if you want a Lucky Duck caller without the pivot. The Riot rounds out the lineup; check its product page for the details.
When you choose, think about whether you want a decoy built in, how often you'd turn the sound, and how far from your stand you set the caller. We also carry FOXPRO callers if you want to compare brands. Lucky Duck callers are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and we help you reach them if something goes wrong.
The one with the features you'll use on every stand. If you want a decoy and the ability to turn the sound from your seat, the Lucky Duck Revolt or Super Revolt covers that in one unit. If you only need a caller and a readable remote, the Roughneck keeps it simpler.
Both make electronic predator callers, and we carry both, so it comes down to the features you want on a stand. Lucky Duck's Revolt and Super Revolt build in a rotating decoy and a motorized pivot you aim from a backlit remote. Compare those with the FOXPRO models on our FOXPRO page, or call us to talk it through.
Prey distress, like a rabbit in trouble, is the classic starting sound because hungry coyotes come to it. Coyote vocals such as howls and pup distress work on territorial dogs, especially in breeding season. When one hangs up, the pivot on a Revolt or Super Revolt lets you turn the sound down another draw from your seat.
Electronic duck calls exist, but Lucky Duck's e-callers aren't duck calls despite the brand name. The Revolt, Super Revolt, Riot and Roughneck are predator callers for coyotes and other predators, where electronic calls are widely legal, unlike for ducks.
Not for duck hunting. Federal rules ban electronic calls for migratory game birds, including ducks, with a narrow exception for light geese during special conservation seasons in some states. Electronic calls for coyotes and other predators are allowed in most states, which is what Lucky Duck's callers are made for. Check your state's regulations.
