ICOtec recommends that customers avoid using Duracell batteries in our callers as the voltage is too low. We recommend TNT Rechargeable AA Battery Kit from ICOtec, or AA alkaline 1.5V batteries, or Lithium 1.5V batteries. Also, we recommend against using lithium AA batteries in GCX+ remotes.
2 Year Warranty included.
**SD Card Reader and OTG Adapter not included.
It gives you a lot of call for a practically priced unit. You get 165 sounds, a 300-yard GCX+ remote that doesn't need line of sight, Bluetooth app control, 2,000-sound storage and tripod mounting. ICOtec developed it with predator hunters who wanted pro features that stay simple on a hectic stand.
Rabbit and rodent distress bring in coyotes through most of the year, and coyote vocals take over during breeding season when territory matters. The Hellion+ ships with 165 sounds, including 15 from Tony Tebbe, so you have both covered and can add more through the Animal Audio app.
Batteries and sync are the usual causes. ICOtec warns against Duracell AAs in the caller and lithium AAs in the GCX+ remote, so try fresh 1.5V alkalines or the TNT rechargeables. If that doesn't fix it, re-sync the remote with the included aux cable, which you also need to do after loading new sounds.
They do, and the remote is a big reason. With the Hellion+ you can set the call out in front of you and work it from cover, so a coyote homes in on the speaker instead of on you. Volume, clear sound and a big library give you options when a coyote hangs up.
