Can you hunt deer at night with a thermal scope?
That depends on your state, and in many states the answer is no for deer even where hogs and predators are fair game at night. Check your state's regulations first. The IOL25 doubles as a handheld for scouting deer where shooting at night isn't allowed.
What is a good brand of thermal scope?
Look for a brand with a clear spec sheet and a warranty you can use. We carry NocPix, RIX, InfiRay and Infitac, among others. The IOL25 shows what Infitac does well: a 384x288 sensor, an f/1.0 lens and one unit that works as scope, handheld and clip-on.
