Do QD optic mounts hold zero?
A good one does, and this mount is built to return your optic to zero after you take it off and put it back. Seat it in the same rail slot each time and lock it fully. Confirm with a shot or two before a hunt, the same as you would after any change to your rifle.
Are QD scope mounts worth it?
They are if your scope comes off the rifle often. A QD mount lets you pull a Talion or Trail for transport, cleaning or storage and get back to shooting without a full re-zero. If your scope lives on one rifle full time, a fixed mount does the job just as well.
