Returns, Shipping & Pre-Orders
Returns Policy
You may return new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery, unless otherwise noted on the original receipt. Any opened items can be returned for a full refund minus a restocking fee of 15% (All orders paid with Paypal, Sezzle or Paypal Pay Later are automatically charged a 15% Fee for returns, order cancellations and/or declines). We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item etc.). All other shipping charges are the customers responsibility. All Pre-Orders are non-refundable, unless prior approval is granted from management, If approval is granted there is a 15% documentation & credit card refund fee. If an Item is defective the original manufacturer's warranty policy will solely be responsible for returns, exchanges or repairs. You must contact the Manufacturer for warranty claims of defects in products. Dark Night Outdoors will not be held responsible for items returned with missing parts, packaging materials or damages to the product. All returns and exchanges must include your name, Receipt or packing slip with order number. If we receive items without the minimal documentation you will not be refunded.
Items Strictly excluded from returns
- Batteries New or used
- Eye Cups (sanitary reasons)
You should expect to receive any approved refunds within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the United States. Note: there are ITAR restrictions on some products and we do not ship any products outside the USA.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Shipping Insurance: If you pay for shipping insurance we will replace any "Lost or damaged" in shipping packages after the package is deemd lost by the shipper. Shipping insurance does not cover late arriving packages. If you do not pay the shipping insurance we can only provide you a tracking number for the package. Once it is received by the shipper we can only refer you to the shipper customer service. customer service phone numbers are listed below:

Pre-Orders and Special Orders
Special Orders or Pre-Orders can be taken on future release products or non-stock items. When you place your special order or Pre-Order we place your order with the manufacturer and commit to purchasing the product. Once this is done we are committed to receive, and purchase your product. Therefore, we can not refund any Pre-Ordered items, regardless of "Deposits" or "Paid-in-Full" status. The Timelines of delivery on Special Orders and/or Pre-Orders are estimated timelines we are given from the Manufacturer, and in no way Guarantees a delivery date to you, unless otherwise specifically noted on the original receipt.
Warranty
Dark Night Outdoors (DNO) Products are warrantied for the life of the product. If you experience a defect in our products we will refund, repair or replace at our discretion any product we manufacture. Thjis warranty only apples when the product is used normally for its intended purpose. The warranty is void on any product not used for its designed purpose or product abuse above and beyond its intended use.
We do not warranty any other brand of products! All other products are warrantied and handled by the manufacturer and their warranty policy. If you are having an issue with a product either in or out of warranty you must call the manufacturer. If you are having issues contacting or reaching a manufacturer we will help get you in contact with someone from the manufacturer. Due to manufacturer restrictions we are not allowed to work on any products and or make any promises from the manufacturer. We will not accept returns, exchanges, trades etc. of a defective product. Dark Night Outdoors can not ship or facilitate any returns to the manufacturer for any reason.
