TS34-45 LRF

That depends on your state. Most states do not allow deer hunting after legal shooting hours, while many allow coyotes, hogs and other predators at night with thermal. Check your state's regulations before you go out. The TS34-45 LRF is set up for those night predator and hog hunts, with a rangefinder that reads out to 1,200 yards.

Most hunters zero a thermal scope at 100 yards, since that matches the distances they shoot coyotes and hogs at night. On this scope you can then let the built-in ballistic calculator and the 1,200-yard rangefinder handle holdover for longer shots. Zero on a target with a warm or reflective patch so the point of aim shows up clearly.

For a rangefinding scope it covers a lot of ground. You get a 384x288 sensor rated at 25mK or lower, a 45mm lens, a 1,200-yard LRF, a ballistic calculator and recording in one housing. If most of your shots are inside 150 yards, a shorter lens in the same family gives a wider view. Call us at (309) 781-8421 if you want help choosing.

PARD lists 725 grams with the battery installed and 680 grams without it, a little over a pound and a half. It is not the lightest thermal scope around, but that weight carries an LRF, a 45mm lens and an aluminum housing rated for 6000J of recoil.
